This virtual seminar given by Álvaro Cánovas Moreno (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid) is the sixth in AGENART’s series on queenship, art, and material culture.
This bi-monthly virtual seminar is organized by the AGENART research group led by M. Cruz de Carlos Varona and housed at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. The group is dedicated to the study of artistic agency among women affiliated with the Spanish branch of the Habsburg Monarchy in the 16th and 17th centuries and beyond. It is particularly aimed at emerging scholars.
In this installation, Álvaro Canovas Moreno will discuss images of Isabel de Braganza (1816-1818) and Isabel II (1833-1868)
