Art History Professor at Saint Louis University Madrid
The Madrid Campus of Saint Louis University —a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, service and healthcare— is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts to begin in January 2024.
The Department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, as well as a Minor. The candidate will have a PhD in Art History, preferably 3 years of teaching experience in the American university system, be fluent in English and Spanish, and have a record of academic research and publications.
Expertise in Spanish art (both pre and post 1800) from a transnational/global perspective will be particularly welcomed, as well as a proven record of teaching excellence. The new faculty member will teach required undergraduate courses (six courses per year) and will participate in academic advising, assessment and coordination of the Art History Department. The candidate is also expected to be involved in further departmental and university-wide administrative tasks, and to maintain an active research profile in the field.
